Fun Friendly Classes
Learning to dance is easier than you may think. Five or six classes can give you a foundation in any particular dance so that you can hit the social dance floors and start experimenting.
You'll soon discover that the Upper Valley is full of dance opportunities and a community of friendly dancers.
Jamie Orr is the only full-time Ballroom and Swing instructor in the Upper Valley. He has been dancing for over 25 years and teaching since 1992. Most of his early training was in Los Angeles while he competed throughout the Western US. He formerly taught in Aspen, CO before returning home to the Valley in 1995. He teaches ballroom, swing, Latin and other partner style dances three nights a week and seven different line dance classes during weekdays. Privates for individuals and groups are also available.

Poolview Room at Dartmouth
Jamie teaches in the Alumni Gym Poolview Room most Tuesdays & Thursdays during the school year. These classes are open to students and the community.

Line Dancing every Wednesday afternoon at the Bugbee Senior Center in White River Jct. is open to all ages. |
March Intensive-Hanover High
Each March Students at HanoverHigh immerse themselves in non-
traditional studies for a week. Salsa and East Coast Swing is a favorite. |
Dancing at Dartmouth
Many Dartmouth Students get bitten by the dance bug. Later as alums, they send news from far-flung cities and countries where their dancing has opened doors to the local community. |
RW Black Center, Hanover
Monday nights Jamie teaches at the Richard W. Black Center, Hanover, NH. This room is also home to the Upper Valley Dance Club's fourth Saturday monthly dances

Jamie's Home Studio, Enfield
Jamie's home studio has enough space for up to four or five couples to dance swing and Latin styles, or for up to two couples to dance Foxtrot, Waltz or Texas 2-Step.
